would forever change. Unfortunately, the extent of Jeff's
knowledge limited his ability to help. In that defining occurrence Jeff
vowed to increase his knowledge, and began training in all aspects of
rescue. He took classes all over the country, and spent countless hours
hanging off cliffs, and floating down rivers, and sliding down mountains
perfecting his skills.
It was while Jeff was out in the wilds one day, when he
was noticed and asked to help out effect rescues and provide safety
to some athletes and actors during a commercial shoot. This soon led
to a succession of jobs working as a safety assistant on shoots for
NIKE, a couple of feature films and other odd jobs. Jeff worked with
all types of people and was continually challenged to create intricate
rigging pieces for stunt players and cameramen who needed to be in the
most unlikely of places. Some of the rigging jobs included rubber banding
someone off a cliff, erecting scaffolding 7 feet away from a 20 foot
waterfall in the middle of a river, as well as erecting scaffolding
and ladder bridges, high up on the slopes of Mt. Hood.
